I would like to welcome our new members this year, and say welcome back to the veterans of Hackers Chicago. The committee wants to make this a fun year, so we just wanted to also let you know of certain requirements that we've implemented for the 2012 season. To qualify for the Hackers Championship at the end of the season, members still need to make 2 out of the 4 majors. To qualify for a Hackers Major Championship, a golfer would have needed to complete 4 rounds in a sanctioned Hackers Chicago Major for their career, and make 2 of 4 Majors in 2012.To new members, please be aware that membership in Hackers Chicago is by invitation only. A veteran member requests a committee member to add an invitee into a year probation period and participate in a golf season with the rest of the members of the association. We don't ask for much to go from probationary member to veteran status. All we ask is that you be courteous towards the other members, show up to your commitments to Hackers Chicago on time, and let us know in advance if you can't make an event due to unforeseen circumstances. This is our 6th year, and we want everybody to have fun out on the golf course.
The sign up sheet for the May Major is now up in the "Majors" section. Deadline for May 5 outing is April 25 and the deadline for May 20 outing is May 10.
